Narrative:

I was assigned to aircraft X on no fix no fly item. Item is emergency light housing deteriorating. Removed light assembly and housing and ordered part came from ZZZ1. Confirmed part number were the same and accomplished operational check, normal. But was informed today by the day shift supervisor, that I may have installed wrong part and I wish to report. I installed parts easily incorrectly without force and operations check is good. That made me feel that was correct.
