Narrative:
On sep/tue/02 at XA30, I unintentionally installed the incorrect part number batteries on ship X. I was working with 2 other mechanics. One went to get the batteries. I installed these batteries assuming they were the right ones. They fit perfectly and tested according to the maintenance manual. After leaving work, I was informed of the discrepancy. I admit complacency in not checking the numbers and would never intentionally put the wrong parts on an aircraft.
