Narrative:
Stabilizer trim/mach trim failure. Checklist followed as well as maintenance control contacted. Decision was made to divert. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: maintenance had difficulty duplicating the problem on the ground. It was eventually traced to a stuck autoplt pusher disconnect switch on the copilot's side.

Title: A DIVERSION IN A CRJ200 FOR APPARENT STABILIZER TRIM-MACH TRIM FAILURE.
Narrative: STABILIZER TRIM/MACH TRIM FAILURE. CHKLIST FOLLOWED AS WELL AS MAINT CTL CONTACTED. DECISION WAS MADE TO DIVERT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: MAINT HAD DIFFICULTY DUPLICATING THE PROB ON THE GND. IT WAS EVENTUALLY TRACED TO A STUCK AUTOPLT PUSHER DISCONNECT SWITCH ON THE COPLT'S SIDE.
