Narrative:
I was assigned aircraft X to accomplish an a-chk. I measured the brakes as per the maintenance manual. I measured the forward pin on all the brakes. The #1 brake was measured at 5/32 inch. I was told by a fellow mechanic that the aircraft had an audit accomplished on it and the auditor had day shift change the brake because the aft pin was 4/32 inch. They were told by the auditor that you are required to check all of the pins. This is contrary to the maintenance manual, aircraft maintenance/local controller response and the 'TR' (see attached) which states measure 1 pin.
