Narrative:
Captain reported airport in sight. Cleared for a visual approach, instructed not to overshoot final. Captain lost sight of runway as I picked up the radio to tell approach. Captain flew through localizer. I had traffic in sight and told ATC we would maintain visual separation. Captain was preoccupied with hurricane preparations for his house and not paying attention. Captain should have reported loss of the airport earlier.
