Narrative:

Aircraft #1 was climbing sbound controled by another sector still in our altitude stratum. Controller called for control to turn aircraft #1 left. Control was granted. Unaware that a 100 degrees left turn was going to be issued to aircraft #1, less than minimum separation was the result with aircraft #2 who was in the block altitude FL200 block 220. Climb rate was also a factor as the crj was climbing at less than 500 FPM. Both aircraft were turned hard to the right. The tanker was descended to block FL200-210. Aircraft #1 was asked to expedite climb.
