Narrative:
While on a pleasure flight, I compromised VFR by entering clouds. I continued for several mins before climbing into clrer skies. Factors in entering IFR included my GPS, wanting to stay on a direct course to destination, and flying a poor performing aircraft.

Title: A PA20 ENTERED IMC FOR SEVERAL MINS WHILE FOLLOWING A GPS TRACK. THE PLT THEN CLBED TO VMC.
Narrative: WHILE ON A PLEASURE FLT, I COMPROMISED VFR BY ENTERING CLOUDS. I CONTINUED FOR SEVERAL MINS BEFORE CLBING INTO CLRER SKIES. FACTORS IN ENTERING IFR INCLUDED MY GPS, WANTING TO STAY ON A DIRECT COURSE TO DEST, AND FLYING A POOR PERFORMING ACFT.
