Narrative:
Cabin crew and cockpit crew smelled fumes in the cabin and cockpit. Cockpit turned off electrical power that wasn't needed. Diverted to mci where plane was grounded until parts were available the next day.

Narrative: CABIN CREW AND COCKPIT CREW SMELLED FUMES IN THE CABIN AND COCKPIT. COCKPIT TURNED OFF ELECTRICAL PWR THAT WASN'T NEEDED. DIVERTED TO MCI WHERE PLANE WAS GNDED UNTIL PARTS WERE AVAILABLE THE NEXT DAY.
