Narrative:
Our taxi instructions were taxi to runway 30 via taxiway C and taxiway left, hold short of runway 25L. I read this back to ATC and to the captain before we taxied. Approaching taxiway left on taxiway C ground told us to cross runway 30 (I thought) at L3. I read that back and ground said 'no' and read back to me something I did not understand during that conversation. We taxied past taxiway left and past the hold short line for runway 30, but well short of the runway. This caused air carrier Y to abort. We then got our taxi instructions correct and taxied to the runway for a normal takeoff. I think ground could have waited until we had made the left turn on taxiway left before he changed our taxi instructions correct and taxied to the runway for a normal takeoff. I think ground could have waited until we had made the left turn on taxiway left before he changed our taxi instructions. That intersection is not marked as a hot spot, but I think it should be.
