Narrative:

After landing on the long northeast direction runway 4, we were cleared to taxi to the FBO, cleared across runways 9 and 36. Instead of following taxiway a across runway 9 through a 90 degree turn to cross runway 36 and onto the FBO ramp, the captain turned onto runway 9. Ground control informed us we had taxied onto an active runway, 'take the next left onto the ramp.' I was doing after landing duties in the cockpit (reconfign, paperwork) and didn't notice the captain had turned early. I need to stay looking outside and leave trim and flight times for later.
