Narrative:
During takeoff climb out from sju, at approximately 1500 ft on a 020 degree heading, the left engine generator faulted with warnings on the ECAM. The captain completed the ECAM checklist items, disengaging the generator, and got clearance to return to sju. The APU was started, the flight attendants and passenger were informed of our situation and we were vectored to an ILS recovery on runway 10. Landing weight was under the aircraft maximum landing weight. We taxied to gate X and maintenance was conducted on the generator problem. All checklists were complied with in accordance with procedures.
