Narrative:
Aircraft X is reported to be infested with mice/rats. Reports made to me by mechanics that worked on aircraft. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said the B737's when routed to south america have had chronic problems with RAT and mice infestation. The carrier is aware of the problem and has been taking action to determine what country is involved. The carrier suspects the rodents are boarded through the catering trucks and even had dna samples taken to isolate the country or countries involved. When the reporter was asked if another make/model which was operated on these same routes had rodent problems, he answered 'none.' when asked what has changed in the way the B737's are serviced on overnight layovers and through trip servicing the reporter answered 'nothing.'
