Narrative:

After departure from fll, communicating with ZMA, I called in our out and off times to fll operations at about 11000 ft (frequency 131.02). As I was transmitting on communication #2 to fll operations, I noticed that communication #1 was being blocked by my transmission. ZMA (132.45) was transmitting to other aircraft. I cycled my receive/transmit switch a few times to check to see if communication #2 was blocking communication #1 from receiving, which it was. I finished transmitting on communication #2. ZMA had not tried to communicate with us during my xmissions and communication #2. I feel a problem could arise if this situation causes radio xmissions to be blocked out and missed.

ZMA HAD NOT TRIED TO COMMUNICATE WITH US DURING MY XMISSIONS AND COM #2. I FEEL A PROB COULD ARISE IF THIS SIT CAUSES RADIO XMISSIONS TO BE BLOCKED OUT AND MISSED.
