Narrative:
Gtw-act-gle, received a full brief with san angelo FSS. Knowledge of P49 expanded to 30 mi was received. Used WAC chart which does not show expanded airspace. Miscalculated distance from center and turned into P49. Intercepted at 18 NM from center and directed to land at waco regional airport. It would be nice if expanded airspace was published on WAC's. Real problems: 1) pilot did not properly chart out airspace on a sectional before departing, and 2) pilot did not use ATC system to keep clear.
