Narrative:
Halon extinguisher deployed during flight for no known reason. I used my uniform and a blanket to stop the spray. Took it out of brackets; wrapped it up; put it in lavatory and locked off lavatory. I think a seal may have broken on the halon. Not sure. My main objective was to get it to stop spraying.

Title: AN MD80 CABIN ATTENDANT RPTS IN CRUISE THE AFT CABIN HALON FIRE EXTINGUISHER SPONTANEOUSLY BEGAN SPRAYING. WRAPPED IN BLANKET AND PLACED IN LOCKED LAVATORY.
Narrative: HALON EXTINGUISHER DEPLOYED DURING FLT FOR NO KNOWN REASON. I USED MY UNIFORM AND A BLANKET TO STOP THE SPRAY.
