Narrative:
Aircraft X departed ZZZ on feb/mon/05 and I was informed by inspection supervisor that the stand-by compass was missing and cockpit door was not electrically connected. The aircraft performed 2 flts on feb/mon/05. The extent of my involvement; I was requested by production to generate a technician's non routine write-up to final inspect area as per reference to eco and clear item #1 to expedite closing out eco.

Title: AN MD80 WAS RELEASED FOR SVC WITH THE STANDBY COMPASS NOT INSTALLED AND THE COCKPIT ARMORED DOOR NOT CONNECTED ELECTRICALLY.
Narrative: ACFT X DEPARTED ZZZ ON FEB/MON/05 AND I WAS INFORMED BY INSPECTION SUPVR THAT THE STAND-BY COMPASS WAS MISSING AND COCKPIT DOOR WAS NOT ELECTRICALLY CONNECTED. THE ACFT PERFORMED 2 FLTS ON FEB/MON/05.
