Narrative:
At departure time; mechanic was called for door slide indication problem. Being a door problem. Being a door problem's slide; I went to chapter 52-doors and looked with the flight crew until we found ECAM door warnings/no slide arm 52-70-01A and used it. Upon further review with maintenance control; I found that door/slide problems should be addressed in chapter 25-60-04B. Flight attendant was advised of the correct chapter. It appeared that chapter 52 addressed the problem. A note in chapter 52 stating to go to chapter 25 for slide issues would help prevent future errors!
