Narrative:
I went to a gate call on aircraft X. Pilot informed me about the #3 main being worn. Said would pass word to manager. I went and looked at the #3 main and determined it needed changing. I called to the shop for help to which mr X and mr Y came out. I started to remove the tire as they jacked up the wheel. Mr X readied the new tire. I pulled off the old and installed the new per maintenance manual. I let the aircraft down as mr X went upstairs to take care of the paperwork/logbook. Mr Y took the old tire and went back to the shop. I finished cleaning the job up and went back to the shop. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated 3 technicians were involved in the tire and wheel assembly replacement and the job went smoothly with no problems. Even the axle nut lock bolt hole lined up perfectly. No blame was attached to the work performed findings indicate the inner wheel bearing had failed. This bearing came with the new wheel and tire assembly.

Narrative: I WENT TO A GATE CALL ON ACFT X. PLT INFORMED ME ABOUT THE #3 MAIN BEING WORN. SAID WOULD PASS WORD TO MGR. I PULLED OFF THE OLD AND INSTALLED THE NEW PER MAINT MANUAL. I LET THE ACFT DOWN AS MR X WENT UPSTAIRS TO TAKE CARE OF THE PAPERWORK/LOGBOOK. MR Y TOOK THE OLD TIRE AND WENT BACK TO THE SHOP. I FINISHED CLEANING THE JOB UP AND WENT BACK TO THE SHOP. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED 3 TECHNICIANS WERE INVOLVED IN THE TIRE AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT AND THE JOB WENT SMOOTHLY WITH NO PROBS.
