Narrative:
On apr/thu/05; I placarded the automatic fuel feed (MEL 28-10) on aircraft X. I received a letter of investigation from the FAA regarding this incident. The letter states; 'the circuit breaker was not opened and safetied.' from the time I placarded the automatic fuel feed and the inspection of the aircraft by the FAA; 8 days had transpired and 22 legs were flown. If you reference PIREP xx; you'll note the circuit breaker in question was pulled by the inbound flight crew. I have performed the compliance of this MEL countless times without error; and I am sure I was fully compliant with MEL 28-10 on apr/thu/05. I believe the circuit breaker was set during routine troubleshooting on any of the 6 overnight checks the aircraft had between apr/thu and apr/fri.

Title: AN A300-600 WITH THE AUTO FUEL FEED DEFERRED PER THE MEL WAS DISCOVERED BY AN FAA SAFETY INSPECTOR TO HAVE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER NOT OPENED AND SAFETIED.
Narrative: ON APR/THU/05; I PLACARDED THE AUTO FUEL FEED (MEL 28-10) ON ACFT X. I RECEIVED A LETTER OF INVESTIGATION FROM THE FAA REGARDING THIS INCIDENT. THE LETTER STATES; 'THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS NOT OPENED AND SAFETIED.' FROM THE TIME I PLACARDED THE AUTO FUEL FEED AND THE INSPECTION OF THE ACFT BY THE FAA; 8 DAYS HAD TRANSPIRED AND 22 LEGS WERE FLOWN. IF YOU REF PIREP XX; YOU'LL NOTE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IN QUESTION WAS PULLED BY THE INBOUND FLT CREW. I HAVE PERFORMED THE COMPLIANCE OF THIS MEL COUNTLESS TIMES WITHOUT ERROR; AND I AM SURE I WAS FULLY COMPLIANT WITH MEL 28-10 ON APR/THU/05. I BELIEVE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS SET DURING ROUTINE TROUBLESHOOTING ON ANY OF THE 6 OVERNIGHT CHKS THE ACFT HAD BTWN APR/THU AND APR/FRI.
