After adjusting nosewheel steering per maintenance manual; failed to identify rii requirement per gpm. Normal lead technician left prior to completion of job on field trip. Replacement lead technician was unaware of requirement; as was supervision. Breakdown in communication between amt; lead technician supervisor.

Narrative: AFTER ADJUSTING NOSEWHEEL STEERING PER MAINT MANUAL; FAILED TO IDENT RII REQUIREMENT PER GPM. NORMAL LEAD TECHNICIAN LEFT PRIOR TO COMPLETION OF JOB ON FIELD TRIP.
