Narrative:
On jul/tue/05; XA00; flight X contacted me via ACARS and informed me they had an egt exceedence on takeoff out of ZZZ1. They had reached a temperature of 641 degrees C for 20 seconds. I informed them at this temperature minimal inspections would be required before the next flight. I told them I would enter ACARS log for them; but neglected to do so. The next day; I received a phone call informing me at home that no maintenance action was performed. The same flight crew that flew the aircraft inbound the night before with the egt exceedence was now taking the same aircraft outbound out of ZZZ2. They noticed no action was taken before pushback and called air carrier maintenance engine control. The aircraft took a delay for 41 mins while egt inspection was accomplished. My inaction led to the delay. The only possible contributing factors are heavy workload and fatigue.

Title: AN A319 CREW RPTED TO MAINT CTL THAT #2 ENG HAD AN EGT EXCEEDENCE ON TKOF. MAINT CTLR FAILED TO ENTER WORK ITEM FOR REQUIRED ENG INSPECTION.
Narrative: ON JUL/TUE/05; XA00; FLT X CONTACTED ME VIA ACARS AND INFORMED ME THEY HAD AN EGT EXCEEDENCE ON TKOF OUT OF ZZZ1. THEY HAD REACHED A TEMP OF 641 DEGS C FOR 20 SECONDS. I INFORMED THEM AT THIS TEMP MINIMAL INSPECTIONS WOULD BE REQUIRED BEFORE THE NEXT FLT. I TOLD THEM I WOULD ENTER ACARS LOG FOR THEM; BUT NEGLECTED TO DO SO. THE NEXT DAY; I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL INFORMING ME AT HOME THAT NO MAINT ACTION WAS PERFORMED. THE SAME FLT CREW THAT FLEW THE ACFT INBOUND THE NIGHT BEFORE WITH THE EGT EXCEEDENCE WAS NOW TAKING THE SAME ACFT OUTBOUND OUT OF ZZZ2. THEY NOTICED NO ACTION WAS TAKEN BEFORE PUSHBACK AND CALLED ACR MAINT ENG CTL. THE ACFT TOOK A DELAY FOR 41 MINS WHILE EGT INSPECTION WAS ACCOMPLISHED. MY INACTION LED TO THE DELAY. THE ONLY POSSIBLE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS ARE HVY WORKLOAD AND FATIGUE.
