Narrative:
Removed and installed clamp in the wrong position. The position of the clamp was in the r-hand main landing gear. The clamp had 4 clamps attached to the strut and non routine write-up card indicated lower. Misunderstood position between lower and bottom.

Title: AN EMB135 TECHNICIAN RPTS INSTALLING A CLAMP ON THE R MAIN LNDG GEAR STRUT IN THE WRONG POS. NON ROUTINE WRITE-UP POS NOT CLR.
Narrative: REMOVED AND INSTALLED CLAMP IN THE WRONG POS. THE POS OF THE CLAMP WAS IN THE R-HAND MAIN LNDG GEAR. THE CLAMP HAD 4 CLAMPS ATTACHED TO THE STRUT AND NON ROUTINE WRITE-UP CARD INDICATED LOWER. MISUNDERSTOOD POS BTWN LOWER AND BOTTOM.
