Narrative:
Had MEL 27-08 pitch trim position indication. Followed MEL instructions; verified trim set on tail during taxi checks; takeoff confign check; aural stated ding; ding; ding trim. Returned to gate; reverified trim position on tail. Called maintenance control and was told to remove all power from aircraft; restart and try takeoff confign again. Still had warning. Called maintenance control again. Told by maintenance control that crew was allowed to depart with aural warning chiming during takeoff roll. Maintenance control gave me his employee number to add to flight plan and load manifest. Completed normal flight to ZZZ with maintenance control authority/authorized.

Title: AN EMJ WAS DISPATCHED WITH THE HORIZ STABILIZER POS INDICATING AURAL WARNING AND TKOF WARNING SYS INOP.
Narrative: HAD MEL 27-08 PITCH TRIM POS INDICATION. FOLLOWED MEL INSTRUCTIONS; VERIFIED TRIM SET ON TAIL DURING TAXI CHKS; TKOF CONFIGN CHK; AURAL STATED DING; DING; DING TRIM. RETURNED TO GATE; REVERIFIED TRIM POS ON TAIL. CALLED MAINT CTL AND WAS TOLD TO REMOVE ALL PWR FROM ACFT; RESTART AND TRY TKOF CONFIGN AGAIN. STILL HAD WARNING. CALLED MAINT CTL AGAIN. TOLD BY MAINT CTL THAT CREW WAS ALLOWED TO DEPART WITH AURAL WARNING CHIMING DURING TKOF ROLL. MAINT CTL GAVE ME HIS EMPLOYEE NUMBER TO ADD TO FLT PLAN AND LOAD MANIFEST. COMPLETED NORMAL FLT TO ZZZ WITH MAINT CTL AUTH.
