Narrative:
On the first flight out after a minimum rest overnight; the flaps were missed on the climb checklist and were inadvertently left at flaps 9 until a speed of approximately 280 KTS was achieved. I was the PNF and the first officer was PF. Fatigue due to 8 hours and 15 mins on the ground before show time was a possible factor. Longer rest periods would certainly help.
