Narrative:

During a noise abatement departure from runway 24 at teb the controller informed us we had missed the turn on the departure. Actually we turned on time (at 1500 ft MSL) however; due to the extended runway heading and reduced power setting on the noise abatement procedure we were at 4.2 mi and started our turn and the prescribed climb as per the teb 5 departure. We were just delayed on the turn from the reduced power setting in use on the noise abatement procedure; for runway 24. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter verified that in fact the crew reached the 4.2 DME at about the same time as the 1500 ft turn requirement and the 4.5 DME for the climb to 2000 ft. ATC thought the crew should have been at a higher altitude when in fact this corporate air department requires a reduced power noise abatement procedure after takeoff and therefore a slow climb.

Title: A HS12-700 USING REDUCED CLB THRUST NOISE ABATEMENT PROCS CLBED SLOWLY ON THE TEB DEP AND NEARLY TURNED LATE AT 1500 FT.

Narrative: DURING A NOISE ABATEMENT DEP FROM RWY 24 AT TEB THE CTLR INFORMED US WE HAD MISSED THE TURN ON THE DEP. ACTUALLY WE TURNED ON TIME (AT 1500 FT MSL) HOWEVER; DUE TO THE EXTENDED RWY HDG AND REDUCED PWR SETTING ON THE NOISE ABATEMENT PROC WE WERE AT 4.2 MI AND STARTED OUR TURN AND THE PRESCRIBED CLB AS PER THE TEB 5 DEP. WE WERE JUST DELAYED ON THE TURN FROM THE REDUCED PWR SETTING IN USE ON THE NOISE ABATEMENT PROC; FOR RWY 24. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR VERIFIED THAT IN FACT THE CREW REACHED THE 4.2 DME AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME AS THE 1500 FT TURN REQUIREMENT AND THE 4.5 DME FOR THE CLB TO 2000 FT. ATC THOUGHT THE CREW SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT A HIGHER ALT WHEN IN FACT THIS CORPORATE AIR DEPARTMENT REQUIRES A REDUCED POWER NOISE ABATEMENT PROC AFTER TAKEOFF AND THEREFORE A SLOW CLB.
