Narrative:
This is my third experience with unctlably loud boarding music during cruise on a B767ER. We followed maintenance's recommendations and pulled the public address circuit breaker to silence the very loud/disturbing music during cruise. The pitfall of this procedure is if the circuit breaker is not pushed back in; PA's from the flight deck 'seem' to go out (there is good side tone) but do not. Additionally; the seatbelt and no smoking chimes do not work. These chimes are used to alert the flight attendants to the descent and landing. On my last flight; this led to an extremely rushed preparation for landing by the flight attendants after they realized they had not heard the chimes alerting them to the landing.

Title: A B767-300ER RPTS PULLING CIRCUIT BREAKERS TO SILENCE UNCTLED BOARDING MUSIC DURING CRUISE. CIRCUIT BREAKERS OUT PREVENT PA ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM COCKPIT.

ADDITIONALLY; THE SEATBELT AND NO SMOKING CHIMES DO NOT WORK. THESE CHIMES ARE USED TO ALERT THE FLT ATTENDANTS TO THE DSCNT AND LNDG. ON MY LAST FLT; THIS LED TO AN EXTREMELY RUSHED PREPARATION FOR LNDG BY THE FLT ATTENDANTS AFTER THEY REALIZED THEY HAD NOT HEARD THE CHIMES ALERTING THEM TO THE LNDG.
