Narrative:
It has been brought to my attention within the last 24 hours that the mechanics in the shop have been using an unapproved adhesive to bond decorative laminates to the interior and exterior walls of the B757 lavatories. I have spoken to the technical supervisor and shop lead technician and was informed engineering is aware of the problem; and is currently working on a solution. I was also informed that engineering is issuing a one-time authority/authorized on a one-by-one basis until a permanent fix is available.
