Narrative:
On approach to jan; approach cleared us for a visual to runway 34R; which is the usual landing runway for our company. After the handoff to the tower controller; we were cleared to land on runway 34L. At that time we were approximately 3 to 4 mile final; aligned with the centerline for runway 34R. We called for clarification/confirmation of our landing clearance; and the tower controller confirmed we were cleared to land on runway 34L. As we were too close for a side step maneuver; we advised the tower that we needed to perform a right 360 degree turn to roll out for runway 34L. Tower cleared us to perform the 360 degree turn. We did so; rolling out on a normal final for runway 34L; and performed a normal landing and rollout. There was no other traffic in the immediate area; and no other conflicts arose.

Title: A CL65 ON SHORT FINAL TO JAN MADE A 360 DEG R TURN FOLLOWING ATC'S CLOSE IN REQUEST TO CHANGE THE LNDG RWY FROM 34R TO 34L.
Narrative: ON APCH TO JAN; APCH CLRED US FOR A VISUAL TO RWY 34R; WHICH IS THE USUAL LNDG RWY FOR OUR COMPANY. AFTER THE HANDOFF TO THE TWR CTLR; WE WERE CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 34L. AT THAT TIME WE WERE APPROX 3 TO 4 MILE FINAL; ALIGNED WITH THE CTRLINE FOR RWY 34R. WE CALLED FOR CLARIFICATION/CONFIRMATION OF OUR LNDG CLRNC; AND THE TWR CTLR CONFIRMED WE WERE CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 34L. AS WE WERE TOO CLOSE FOR A SIDE STEP MANEUVER; WE ADVISED THE TWR THAT WE NEEDED TO PERFORM A R 360 DEG TURN TO ROLL OUT FOR RWY 34L. TWR CLRED US TO PERFORM THE 360 DEG TURN. WE DID SO; ROLLING OUT ON A NORMAL FINAL FOR RWY 34L; AND PERFORMED A NORMAL LNDG AND ROLLOUT. THERE WAS NO OTHER TFC IN THE IMMEDIATE AREA; AND NO OTHER CONFLICTS AROSE.
