Narrative:

We were cleared for the cqy 6 and had planned for runway 17C at dfw. At 11000 ft and approaching deets; we were cleared for an approach to runway 17L. Some time during the selection of the runway 17L approach in the FMS; hornz waypoint was eliminated. This is a non EFIS aircraft and I did not see that hornz had been lost until the aircraft did not make the turn as expected. I initiated a turn at about the same time that the controller called a turn to 020 degrees. We were turned to 350 degrees and continued the descent. The controller asked if we had missed the turn and the first officer replied that we had. We did start the turn late but not because we were not aware the turn was part of the arrival.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR THE CQY 6 AND HAD PLANNED FOR RWY 17C AT DFW. AT 11000 FT AND APCHING DEETS; WE WERE CLRED FOR AN APCH TO RWY 17L. SOME TIME DURING THE SELECTION OF THE RWY 17L APCH IN THE FMS; HORNZ WAYPOINT WAS ELIMINATED. THIS IS A NON EFIS ACFT AND I DID NOT SEE THAT HORNZ HAD BEEN LOST UNTIL THE ACFT DID NOT MAKE THE TURN AS EXPECTED. I INITIATED A TURN AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME THAT THE CTLR CALLED A TURN TO 020 DEGS. WE WERE TURNED TO 350 DEGS AND CONTINUED THE DSCNT. THE CTLR ASKED IF WE HAD MISSED THE TURN AND THE FO REPLIED THAT WE HAD. WE DID START THE TURN LATE BUT NOT BECAUSE WE WERE NOT AWARE THE TURN WAS PART OF THE ARR.
