Narrative:
Cruising at FL390 near hsv; I was PNF in copilot's seat. Captain's forward windshield outer face ply cracked. We ran appropriate checklist; advised center of event; requested and received descent to FL250. No further action of services were required. At destination; accomplished field repair of outer face ply in accordance with maintenance manual; MEL'ed windshield anti-ice; flew back to pia.
