Narrative:
I was advised by production supervisor to re-inspect the interim repair for progressive damage. The production supervisor stated that we need the airplane because we do not have time to do the repair; and we are going to defer it. The production supervisor said he would take care of the paperwork later. To my best understanding that was done until told me tonight dec/wed/05. Have all correspondence take place between production supervisor and quality assurance supervisor to make sure it won't happen again. Communication between the departments was not adequate and there was no follow-up between the 2 departments.
