Narrative:
I entered flight plan into FMS. It was verified and compared to departure page -- TRISS2/txk trans -- flight plan legs and clearance. On taxi out; responded to dfw queue with correct information. I was pilot flying. At 500 ft; engaged navigation. Initial dfw departure control cleared us direct triss and normal speed. Captain entered clearance into FMS. I failed to verify entry. After passing triss; we continued along magenta flight path towards what we thought was our next fix. ZFW said that we were drifting left of course. They asked if we were proceeding toward shero or txk. We were heading towards txk -- incorrectly. We should have been going to shero. As pilot flying; I failed to verify next fix in FMS with published route. Not certain how shero was dropped from navigation route.
