Narrative:
On climb out; green hydraulic quantity went to zero. ECAM items accomplished; emergency declared; and returned for straight-in landing with manual gear extension. Landed uneventfully; stopped straight ahead (no nosewheel steering); and had aircraft tugged to gate. Fuel at landing 8000 pounds; 162 souls on board; and gross weight 141700 pounds. Cabin advisory with flight attendants. Dispatch; maintenance; and operations notified. Good job by all.
