Narrative:
After takeoff from runway 8L and during flap retraction; we got a 'trailing edge flap disagreement' message when we selected flaps from position '1 degree' to 'up.' we ran the appropriate checklist; the message cleared and the flaps retracted with the alternate flaps. We continued to destination with concurrence from dispatch. On arrival; we used alternate flap extension; as per previous checklist; and made a 20 degree flap landing.
