Narrative:
While in cruise flight; we received a baggage smoke master warning. I called for the appropriate checklist and activated the baggage fire extinguisher. We declared an emergency and were vectored. After landing; ground emergency personnel confirmed there was not a fire or smoke and it appeared to be a faulty indication.

Title: E145 FLT CREW EXPERIENCES BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT SMOKE WARNING. FOLLOW APPROPRIATE EMER PROC AND THEN DIVERT TO NEAREST SUITABLE ARPT.
Narrative: WHILE IN CRUISE FLT; WE RECEIVED A BAGGAGE SMOKE MASTER WARNING. I CALLED FOR THE APPROPRIATE CHKLIST AND ACTIVATED THE BAGGAGE FIRE EXTINGUISHER. WE DECLARED AN EMER AND WERE VECTORED. AFTER LNDG; GND EMER PERSONNEL CONFIRMED THERE WAS NOT A FIRE OR SMOKE AND IT APPEARED TO BE A FAULTY INDICATION.
