Narrative:
While working tpa final; I was vectoring aircraft X BE58 to runway 36R at tpa at 3000 ft. An unidented radar controller asked if I saw aircraft Y out there. I did not know what he was asking or where to look. As I scanned my scope; I observed a 'V' tag tower radar tag at 3000 ft closing rapidly on aircraft X at 3000 ft. I called traffic; then issued a traffic alert with an immediate left turn to 010 degrees. I believe aircraft X stated he saw the F16's at that point. I do not know how or why the F16's were in my airspace and later found out that tpa west satellite position was who asked if I saw aircraft Y out there.
