Narrative:
While fueling aircraft; I was having trouble keeping pressure on the fuel line and kept going from the refueling panel to the fuel pump to adjust the pressure and as I was finishing fueling; the relief valve opened on the fueling pump and I was distraction. I had thought I closed the refueling panel after fueling the aircraft but after the distrs of the fueling pump I got out of sequence with my normal fuel procedure. Both I and the ramp individual that cleared me on pushback did not notice the door open. I found out about the door being damaged from my supervisor.
