Narrative:
Aircraft had an in-flight engine shutdown. Returned to ZZZ. Declared an emergency. #1 engine low pressure turbine blades were found bad. FAA letter file number noted no description damage to the engine or air carrier X or what troubleshooting activities that resulted in the removal and replacement of the engine. When I was given my turn-over; the engine was off the pylon; precooler was removed. The nose cowl changed to the replacement engine. I was told for my crew to finish the engine change. My signoff was removed and replaced #1 engine per maintenance task 371-00-01. Maintenance task 371-00-02; maintenance task 371-00-10; maintenance task 371-00-13. However; next time I will include in signoff what was wrong and troubleshoot used next time.
