Narrative:
At approximately 2000 ft the master caution light (overhead) along with the isolation valve lights came on. I (captain) was flying the aircraft and first officer ran through the QRH checklist. Maintenance was consulted and we returned to origin. This was a previous write-up which occurred a week prior. First officer was familiar with the prior write-ups as she was flying this aircraft when it happened before. Maintenance asked us to pull the 'thrust reverser 1 dc' and 'thrust reverser 2 dc' circuit breakers to help troubleshoot the system. I feel this is a dangerous solicitation and it should not be complied with in-flight.
