Narrative:
I noticed a mild burning (plastic) smell and eventually smoke pouring out of every crease and opening from ceiling. I notified cockpit and we made an emergency landing. The captain and myself experienced symptoms from chemical exposure. A few first class passenger complained of throat and eye burning and were coughing too. Cockpit shut down power to first class galley. We diverted. I went to the doctor and was treated with medication for chemical exposure and situational anxiety.
