Narrative:
Approximately 10 mi out on vectors to visual approach into ZZZ. Flight attendant called and said we had medical emergency in cabin. A 10 month old girl was having a seizure or choking. The first officer was communicating with the flight attendant and getting details on medical emergency and giving flight attendant ETA for ZZZ. I was communicating with ATC. I declared a medical emergency and was cleared visual to runway. I was flying and expedited visual approach. When first officer finished communicating with flight attendant in back; he took communication with ATC and I called company. I told dispatch and ramp we needed a gate number and an ambulance upon arrival at gate due to a medical emergency. We were given gate. When I returned to communication #1 (ATC) with first officer; first officer told me we were cleared to land. We landed and expedited taxi to gate where ambulance met us a few mins later and entered aircraft via rear of aircraft with mobile stairs.
