Narrative:

Las tower has a habit of clearing aircraft for takeoff when the other aircraft has not even rotated. I know that they can issue the clearance when it can be anticipated the other aircraft will be airborne when the clearance is issued. However; several times I have been cleared for takeoff when the other aircraft is not even 2000-3000 ft down the runway. Also; aircraft behind me have been cleared for takeoff prior to us reaching 80 KTS. This is a dangerous situation set up by tower. If I abort my takeoff; what's the aircraft behind me supposed to do?
