Narrative:
In the morning an aircraft required crew seat installation left over from overnight. I was performing the rii as inspector. At about XA30 that morning I was informed that the aircraft returned to the gate because the first officer's seat was out of the outboard track. I failed to insure by inspection that seat was properly installed in its track.
