Narrative:
Initial climb commanded for gear retraction and received a landing gear lever disagreement EICAS warning message. With gear lever in up position; we had an indication of 3 amber down on the landing gear. Leveled at 3000 ft. Informed ATC. Followed procedures. No help. Landing gear remained in the down and locked position indicating 3 green lights. Contacted maintenance control and operations. Returned to rdu. Requested that rdu tower take a look at the landing gear on final. On short final around 300 ft rdu requested that we do a go around. They had some question about the right landing gear. Upon further inspection everything looked normal and they cleared us to land on runway 23R. We continued to show 3 green down and locked. Normal landing. Below maximum landing weight and did not declare an emergency.
