During approach to runway 8 abq; trailing edge flap asymmetry at 15 degrees. Executed go around and accomplished irregular procedure. Simultaneously coordinated with flight attendants and informed passenger. Sent text ACARS message to dispatch that we would be landing in abq flaps 15 degrees with potential asymmetry issue. Normal landing abq; called dispatch and maintenance control upon arrival and coordination future maintenance activity with the station.
