Narrative:
On apr/wed/06 aircraft was at the ZZZ hangar for a 'C' check. I was assigned as the engine inspector. The right engine CSD was not svced properly and the aircraft returned to the gate after pushback. During the 'C' check; I saw mechanic with the oil service cart at the right engine. I saw pumping oil into the engine starter and assumed all the oil servicing required in that area would be completed. I then moved on to do other work assignments; ie; fan blade inspection; borescope; and inspection under open panel. After the paperwork for the blades; borescope and panel close-up had been completed; I looked around the engine to make sure everything was closed up properly. I did not see the oil service cart any longer and assumed the oil servicing was completed. I checked the safeties of all the filters that were changed. I did not notice the lack of oil in the CSD. It was my responsibility to verify proper oil servicing and I missed it.
