Narrative:
During the climb phase of this leg we inadvertently missed the fact that two waypoints on our departure procedure were omitted either during the preflight or somehow they 'dropped' during some other pilot entry to the FMS. Our preflight was normal. The route was read by the captain and the legs and mileage were also read by the captain and verified by me. During this part of the preflight I might have caused a distraction as I did not have the departure procedure out and available when the captain read the first 2 waypoints; so at this point I reached into my flight kit to retrieve it so that it could be reviewed. It is perhaps at this point that I missed the fact that 'tekbe and poten' were not in fact loaded in the FMS for the clare 2 departure. I can only summarize that an error was made by me not asking the captain to re-read the leg check to me when I was completely ready to absorb the information (or at least I should have taken the time to rechk the legs page as I frequently do; on my own).
