Narrative:
On initial climb out from dfw on TRISS2 departure with a txk transition we were given direct to triss. We had not yet reached jgirl. We turned towards triss initially and then plugged triss direct into FMS. Passing triss; ZFW said we were north of course. He asked what point we were proceeding to. Txk was the active waypoint and navigation trk annunciated. We informed ZFW that we were proceeding to txk. They said that we has missed shero and gave us clearance to proceed direct to txk.
