Narrative:
Replaced D1204 connector on wire harness. After further investigation it was determined by myself that wire harness M & east should have been replaced not repaired per amm task. Comments: the standard wiring practices manual does not state that this harness cannot be repaired by replacing any cannon plugs.

Title: A B737-700 ENG DRIVEN PUMP HARNESS HAD A CONNECTOR REPLACED. LATER INVESTIGATION BY RPTR FOUND ENTIRE HARNESS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED PER THE MAINT MANUAL. ALSO DISCOVERED STANDARD WIRING PRACTICES MANUAL IN CONFLICT WITH MAINT MANUAL ON HARNESS REPAIR.
Narrative: REPLACED D1204 CONNECTOR ON WIRE HARNESS. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED BY MYSELF THAT WIRE HARNESS M & E SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED NOT REPAIRED PER AMM TASK.
