Narrative:
During cruise; was notified by ZZZ3 ATC that we were 1 of 3 flts that may have blown a tire on runway in ZZZ1. Dispatch was contacted. Time was spent determining which aircraft. Determination was not 100%; but all indications pointed to us. Attempting a landing at ZZZ2 with a possible blown tire/wheel damage was not prudent. Diversion to ZZZ was decided. We declared an emergency with ZZZ ATC. A cabin advisory was performed by the flight attendants. An approach at ZZZ was attempted. WX was VFR with thunderstorms in area. WX was not a big factor. Approach was normal until ZZZ tower notified us that company was not ready for us to land. A go around was performed at approximately 1000 ft AGL. After further contact with dispatch; another approach was attempted. After a normal landing to a full stop; emergency equipment made a visual inspection. Continued taxi to gate. Maintenance determined all wheels and gear were in good shape.
